Evgeniy Prudnikov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Vadim Harlamov made a huge save. Vladimir Babushkin struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Vyacheslav Rogovskiy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seleucia Pierià. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuil Bugaev to make the kick off. Danil Zygmantovich showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. 85 minutes into the game, Oktyabrsky FC's Vladimir Kostin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vadim Harlamov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. With a little luck, Oktyabrsky FC's Vyacheslav Rogovskiy got control of the ball when Vladimir Babushkin tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evgeniy Prudnikov in the 92nd minute of play forced Seleucia Pierià's goalkeeper Vadim Harlamov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Oleg Abuladze made a precise shot to the right of Vadim Harlamov. Seleucia Pierià's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-5. The Seleucia Pierià supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Seleucia Pierià would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
