The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Irakliy Fioletov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georgiy Shilov in the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Petr Panfilov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksey Semeiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleksey Semeiko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonid Anyukov in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonid Anyukov in the 11th minute of play forced FC SSAU 2007's goalkeeper Aleksey Semeiko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aleksey Semeiko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonid Anyukov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes in the game Mikhail Emelin got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. In the 20th match minute, Grozny FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georgiy Rybakov to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute of the match Mikhail Emelin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Irakliy Fioletov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Georgiy Rybakov's late challenge caught a FC SSAU 2007's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Georgiy Rybakov helped the player get up and apologised. 25 minutes into the game, Gerasim Karakin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC SSAU 2007's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grozny FC the free kick. 29 minutes into the match, Grozny FC's Petr Panfilov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aleksey Semeiko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Petr Panfilov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aleksey Semeiko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petr Panfilov during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Petr Panfilov kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gerasim Karakin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Irakliy Fioletov made a huge save. Leonid Anyukov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aleksey Semeiko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The FC SSAU 2007 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grozny FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georgiy Shilov made a kick off. If Leonid Anyukov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leonid Anyukov came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Grozny FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonid Anyukov couldn't finish the play. Ernest Cherchesov kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. FC SSAU 2007's Aleksey Semeiko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save FC SSAU 2007 from getting a goal against them. Aleksey Semeiko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petr Panfilov in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Grozny FC's goal looked a bit too open when Georgiy Shilov came free, but Irakliy Fioletov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petr Panfilov took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aleksey Semeiko. Aleksey Semeiko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonid Anyukov in the 83rd minute of play forced FC SSAU 2007's goalkeeper Aleksey Semeiko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Aleksey Semeiko managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Grozny FC's Petr Panfilov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Grozny FC booed when FC SSAU 2007 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dmitriy Doronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Grozny FC's Leonid Anyukov in the 95th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Aleksey Semeiko was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for FC SSAU 2007 through an amazing save. The FC SSAU 2007 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grozny FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Grozny FC.
