Irakliy Fioletov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lev Kovtun in the 5th minute of the match. When Oleg Ushakov came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Pskov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oleg Ushakov couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lev Kovtun in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irakliy Fioletov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th match minute, Grozny FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yaroslav Protasevich to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Grozny FC's Yaroslav Protasevich ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yakov Zaitsev. Yakov Zaitsev yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Oleg Ushakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irakliy Fioletov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lev Kovtun's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Daniil Khokhlov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pskov's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grozny FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pskov's Daniil Khokhlov got a free kick in the 26th minute. Pskov's Yakov Zaitsev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonid Anyukov in the 29th minute of play. Yakov Zaitsev made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Georgiy Rybakov sent off a good shot on target. After 31 played minutes Pskov got a freekick which was hit by Mikhail Afanasenko. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Yakov Zaitsev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Artem Gostintsev hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 46th match minute, Grozny FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yaroslav Protasevich to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Pskov's Yakov Zaitsev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonid Anyukov in the 53rd minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Pskov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergey Kochar to maneuver through the defense. Yakov Zaitsev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonid Anyukov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lev Kovtun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lev Kovtun got free with Irakliy Fioletov in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrey Berketov kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Pskov getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Oleg Ushakov hit a great ball. Pskov's Yakov Zaitsev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georgiy Rybakov in the 76th minute of play. In the 90thth minute of the game Lev Kovtun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grozny FC's Irakliy Fioletov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pskov's Yakov Zaitsev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georgiy Rybakov in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Pskov's goal looked a bit too open when Georgiy Rybakov came free, but Yakov Zaitsev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
