The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oleg Khokhlov hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match, Gerd Müller got a very nice opportunity to score, but Viktor Soshin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Darren Couzens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frol Chevtaev, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Mark Ivkov took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viktor Soshin. Viktor Soshin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 18th minute, Gerd Müller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viktor Soshin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Viktor Soshin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksandr Zhuravlev, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gennadiy Saprykin during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gennadiy Saprykin hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Korolev's Viktor Soshin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksandr Zhuravlev in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Korolev was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anatoliy Bogdashevskiy to maneuver through the defense. Darren Couzens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Chernavskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Viktor Soshin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aleksandr Zhuravlev showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 45 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Gerd Müller made the kick off in the second half. Viktor Soshin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Ivkov in the 51st minute of play. Viktor Soshin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mark Ivkov went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 59th minute Gerd Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Soshin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kislovodsk's Klim Eshevskiy suffered a concussion in the 59th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Kislovodsk's Albert Klimchuk was substituted for Klim Eshevskiy. With a little luck, Kislovodsk's Darren Couzens got control of the ball when Vladimir Chernavskiy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Viktor Soshin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Menjivar in the 66th minute of the match. After 67 minutes of play, Kislovodsk's Mark Ivkov made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Viktor Soshin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Viktor Soshin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerd Müller in the 71st minute of play. Aleksandr Zhuravlev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerd Müller in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viktor Soshin saved Korolev from getting behind. Viktor Soshin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksandr Zhuravlev, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Darren Couzens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vsevolod Lebedenko in the 78th minute of the match. Valentin Ladynin took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viktor Soshin. Viktor Soshin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Ladynin in the 87th minute of play forced Korolev's goalkeeper Viktor Soshin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Ladynin took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viktor Soshin. Viktor Soshin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. In the 91stth minute of the game Nildo Hoffmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Korolev's Viktor Soshin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 93 played minutes Kislovodsk got a freekick which was hit by Luis Menjivar. The supporters of Kislovodsk booed when Korolev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anatoliy Bogdashevskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kislovodsk's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
