Vladimir Shtein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Demyan Gordeev fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ivanovo's protests and gave Demyan Gordeev a yellow card for diving instead. Vladimir Shtein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksandr Zhitkov in the 28th minute of play. Vladimir Shtein came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Ivanovo's Aleksandr Zhitkov. But to his dismay, Aleksandr Zhitkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 30 minutes into the game, Aleksandr Zhitkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Vladimir Shtein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Ivanovo getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Sergey Naschekin hit a great ball. Ivanovo's Timofey Novikov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ivanovo from getting a goal against them. Fc Olimp's Vladimir Shtein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksandr Zhitkov in the 45th minute of play. The Fc Olimp players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ivanovo were winning 0-3.

A collision led to Fc Olimp getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Vladimir Karnaukhov hit a great ball. The supporters of Ivanovo booed when Fc Olimp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maksim Koltik didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vadim Pechenin couldn't finish the play. Timofey Novikov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Cresconio, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With a little luck, Fc Olimp's Vladimir Shtein got control of the ball when Igor Varlamov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felipe Clementi scored 2-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Timofey Novikov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
