Karelia FC's Kasım Nevzat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Karelia FC from getting a goal against them. Kasım Nevzat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksandr Zhitkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Paramonov during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Karelia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Paramonov to maneuver through the defense. Kasım Nevzat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksandr Zhitkov in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match, Igor Varlamov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kasım Nevzat was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ivan Florenskiy lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ivanovo's Sergey Naschekin got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th match minute, Karelia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slawomir Komanski to maneuver through the defense. Karelia FC's Roman Paramonov managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Demyan Gordeev in the 30 minute of the game. When Roman Paramonov came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Karelia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Paramonov couldn't finish the play. After 35 minutes of play, Ivanovo's Aleksandr Zhitkov made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kasım Nevzat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Kasım Nevzat successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Vsevolod Dolmatov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aleksandr Zhitkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Karelia FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Albert Benediktov hit a great ball. Kasım Nevzat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vsevolod Dolmatov in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Sergey Naschekin made a precise shot to the right of Kasım Nevzat. Karelia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vsevolod Dolmatov in the 62nd minute of play forced Karelia FC's goalkeeper Kasım Nevzat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Karelia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Naschekin came free, but Kasım Nevzat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kasım Nevzat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksandr Zhitkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Aleksandr Zhitkov took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kasım Nevzat. Kasım Nevzat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 77 minutes into the match, Karelia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksandr Zhitkov came free, but Kasım Nevzat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gennadiy Rozhin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Aleksandr Zhitkov sped through Karelia FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kasım Nevzat. In the 86th minute Sergey Naschekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasım Nevzat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergey Naschekin in the 87th minute of play forced Karelia FC's goalkeeper Kasım Nevzat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Gennadiy Rozhin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Timofey Novikov, passed just outside the right post. Aleksandr Zhitkov took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kasım Nevzat. Kasım Nevzat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.
