In the 13th minute, Igor Varlamov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ivanovo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Timofey Ivlev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksandr Zhitkov in the 17th minute of play. Vladivostok's Timofey Ivlev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksandr Zhitkov in the 19th minute of play. Timofey Ivlev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Varlamov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Anton Gurev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timofey Novikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vladivostok's Gleb Kelin got a free kick in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Vladivostok's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Varlamov came free, but Timofey Ivlev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Ivanovo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Vladivostok's Timofey Ivlev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Vladivostok from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the match, Vladivostok's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksandr Zhitkov came free, but Timofey Ivlev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Malafeev hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Vladivostok fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ivanovo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
