Vasiliy Belyakov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Meurmansk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Blagonadezhin came free, but Nikolay Bachinskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Eduard Korshak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Meurmansk FC's Vasiliy Belyakov threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nikita Vyun, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nikita Vyun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Vasiliy Belyakov made a huge save. Meurmansk FC's Nikolay Bachinskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Blagonadezhin in the 28th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Meurmansk FC got a freekick which was hit by Nikita Vyun. Nikolay Bachinskiy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Blagonadezhin, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernest Orekhov kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Konstantin Shestakov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nikolay Bachinskiy. Meurmansk FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nikita Vyun hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikita Vyun made a kick off. If Konstantin Shestakov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meurmansk FC's Nikolay Bachinskiy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Meurmansk FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladislav Petrushevskiy in the 62nd minute of play forced Meurmansk FC's goalkeeper Nikolay Bachinskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Mochudi's Igor Blagonadezhin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nikolay Bachinskiy. That made the score 1-2 after 80 minutes of play. Nikolay Bachinskiy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Blagonadezhin in the 83rd minute. Ernest Orekhov charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernest Orekhov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Mochudi booed when Meurmansk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Orekhov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Aleksandr Harchevnikov in the 85th minute really tested Nikolay Bachinskiy's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 87 minutes into the match, Meurmansk FC's goalkeeper Nikolay Bachinskiy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Konstantin Shestakov. With a little luck, Meurmansk FC's Nikolay Bachinskiy got control of the ball when Igor Blagonadezhin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Meurmansk FC's Valeriy Kauzov suffered a sore thigh after 89 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Vladislav Petrushevskiy's late challenge caught a Meurmansk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladislav Petrushevskiy helped the player get up and apologised. Meurmansk FC's Evgeniy Appolonov was substituted for Valeriy Kauzov. In the 90th match minute, FC Mochudi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladislav Petrushevskiy to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Blagonadezhin got free with Nikolay Bachinskiy in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
