Kirill Turov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pavel Lytkin's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Daniil Rutkovskiy could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Jan Hendrik van der Laan however easily saved by the left post. Daniil Rutkovskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jan Hendrik van der Laan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Daniil Rutkovskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. SCHTURM's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniil Rutkovskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Hendrik van der Laan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute Nikolay Goldberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Hendrik van der Laan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Lytkin in the 24th minute of play forced SCHTURM's goalkeeper Kirill Turov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Hendrik van der Laan made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Daniil Rutkovskiy sent off a good shot on target. Pavel Lytkin might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kirill Turov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavel Lytkin ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Hendrik van der Laan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolay Goldberg in the 40th minute of play. Daniil Rutkovskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Hendrik van der Laan having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Anton Cheberyak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Novovyatich's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SCHTURM the free kick. Anton Cheberyak hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Nikolay Goldberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikolay Goldberg to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, one of SCHTURM:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Novovyatich's Pavel Lytkin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kirill Turov. Kirill Turov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Lytkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SCHTURM's zone, Pavel Lytkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kirill Turov came out of the goal and Pavel Lytkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikolay Goldberg in the 66th minute of play forced Novovyatich's goalkeeper Jan Hendrik van der Laan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Cheberyak was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Anton Cheberyak kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Novovyatich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitaliy Yakushev to maneuver through the defense. Jan Hendrik van der Laan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikolay Goldberg in the 74th minute of the match. Jan Hendrik van der Laan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timofey Strizhev in the 76th minute of play. Daniil Rutkovskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Daniil Rutkovskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
