The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Silvestr Deikin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Klim Afanasenkov to make any attempt to save it. Gennadiy Brodskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Kushalakov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stepan Khokhlov, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Maykop's Gennadiy Brodskiy in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Питерские Псы's goalie prevented a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Питерские Псы's goal looked a bit too open when Stepan Khokhlov came free, but Ivan Kushalakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Silvestr Deikin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the game, Maykop's Gennadiy Brodskiy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Kushalakov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Timofey Chichelov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Maykop getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Stepan Khokhlov hit a great ball. Klim Afanasenkov made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Georgiy Flyarkovskiy sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Питерские Псы's Georgiy Flyarkovskiy got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Timofey Chichelov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Maykop got a freekick which was hit by Gennadiy Brodskiy. Klim Afanasenkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestr Deikin in the 37th minute of play. When Vasiliy Kurbatkin fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Питерские Псы's protests and gave Vasiliy Kurbatkin a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes Питерские Псы got a freekick which was hit by Vasiliy Kurbatkin. Klim Afanasenkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestr Deikin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Kushalakov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Brodskiy in the 41st minute of play. Klim Afanasenkov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valeriy Belyakov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 44 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Klim Afanasenkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriy Belyakov in the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Georgiy Flyarkovskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Питерские Псы's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georgiy Flyarkovskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Maykop's Gennadiy Brodskiy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 73rd minute Gennadiy Brodskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Kushalakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Kushalakov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stepan Khokhlov's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After 77 played minutes Maykop got a freekick which was hit by Timofey Chichelov. Stepan Khokhlov's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Ivan Kushalakov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestr Deikin in the 85th minute of play forced Maykop's goalkeeper Klim Afanasenkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Kushalakov came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Maykop's Ilya Chernikin. But to his dismay, Ilya Chernikin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 92ndth minute of the game Gennadiy Brodskiy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Питерские Псы's Ivan Kushalakov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Timofey Chichelov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
