Noginsk's Oleg Banketov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoriy Afinogenov in the 16th minute of play. Yuriy Popovich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stepan Obryvkov in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the Odinzovo FC defense, Osvaldo Rico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yuriy Popovich. The Odinzovo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yuriy Popovich should have stopped the shot. In the 25th match minute, Noginsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilya Haritonov to maneuver through the defense. Zinoviy Kiprenskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Oleg Banketov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stepan Obryvkov got free with Yuriy Popovich in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yuriy Popovich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilya Haritonov, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Grigoriy Afinogenov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stepan Loginov hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Yuriy Popovich was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osvaldo Rico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yuriy Popovich having to make a save. Oleg Banketov was a little too slow when Grigoriy Afinogenov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 4-3. In the 81st minute, Osvaldo Rico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuriy Popovich was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. When Innokentiy Savinskiy came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Noginsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Innokentiy Savinskiy couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute Klim Nikeshin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuriy Popovich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yuriy Popovich didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo Rico went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-3 was the resulting score. Artem Kulakov made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Odinzovo FC's Pavel Antoshkin. 95 minutes into the match, Odinzovo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stepan Obryvkov came free, but Yuriy Popovich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noginsk's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
