Neftekamsk's Stepan Kulagin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afanasiy Moiseev in the 6th minute of play. Roman Semins short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Stepan Kulagin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Stepan Kulagin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afanasiy Moiseev in the 8th minute of play. Afanasiy Moiseev might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stepan Kulagin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afanasiy Moiseev ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Neftekamsk's Stepan Kulagin got control of the ball when Roman Semin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Afanasiy Moiseev fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Besiktas's protests and gave Afanasiy Moiseev a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Besiktas got a freekick which was hit by Afanasiy Moiseev. Efim Allemanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Lihovidov, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Neftekamsk's Stepan Medvedev got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stepan Kulagin made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Roman Semin sent off a good shot on target. Afanasiy Moiseev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neftekamsk were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Besiktas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Danil Chiryasov took the corner. Gleb Knyazhevich thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Efim Allemanov, a very annoying self made goal in the 28th minute which led to 0-1. Roman Semin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stepan Kulagin having to interfere. Stepan Medvedev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Efim Allemanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stepan Kulagin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afanasiy Moiseev, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Roman Semin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stepan Kulagin having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 58thth minute of the game Afanasiy Moiseev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Neftekamsk's Stepan Kulagin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stepan Kulagin came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Besiktas's Afanasiy Moiseev. But to his dismay, Afanasiy Moiseev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Stepan Kulagin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afanasiy Moiseev in the 67th minute of play. Sergey Dorofeev's late challenge caught a Neftekamsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergey Dorofeev helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Besiktas getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Sergey Dorofeev hit a great ball. After 74 minutes, Konstantin Leostrin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neftekamsk and the Besiktas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Neftekamsk got a freekick which was hit by Konstantin Leostrin. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Afanasiy Moiseev sped through Neftekamsk's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stepan Kulagin. Stepan Kulagin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afanasiy Moiseev in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Besiktas's goalkeeper Efim Allemanov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Besiktas fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Besiktas's Roman Semin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
