With his leg Stepan Kulagin managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Cheboksary's Eldar Favorskiy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eldar Favorskiy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Stepan Kulagin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eldar Favorskiy kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 37thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Neftekamsk's keeper Stepan Kulagin was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Eldar Favorskiy didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 4-0 via right post in the game's 38th minute. Cheboksary's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Yuriy Belozerov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Lihovidov in the 45th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eldar Favorskiy made a kick off. Arkadiy Kilchevskiy took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stepan Kulagin. Stepan Kulagin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 57th minute, Eldar Favorskiy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cheboksary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Cheboksary made a substitution. Pavel Volohov replaced Mikhail Manilov. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eldar Favorskiy in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stepan Kulagin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eldar Favorskiy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stepan Kulagin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. If Ivan Lihovidov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Neftekamsk's Oleg Kotov got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 78 played minutes Neftekamsk got a freekick which was hit by Georgiy Kiryakulov. Eldar Favorskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stepan Kulagin having to interfere. With a little luck, Cheboksary's Yuriy Belozerov got control of the ball when Stepan Medvedev tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Neftekamsk's goal looked a bit too open when Eldar Favorskiy came free, but Stepan Kulagin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Cheboksary's Arkadiy Kilchevskiy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stepan Kulagin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. After 90 minutes of play, Cheboksary's Eldar Favorskiy made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stepan Kulagin was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Eldar Favorskiy in the 95th minute of play forced Neftekamsk's goalkeeper Stepan Kulagin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheboksary walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
