When Krasnodar FC's Mikhail Ignatov in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Evsey Ivanov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oriche Vega read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Artur Saldanha charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 23rd minute Evsey Ivanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oriche Vega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Krasnodar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lev Pakhomov came free, but Oriche Vega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jakob Nazaradeh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Demyanenko in the 26th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Lev Pakhomov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oriche Vega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jakob Nazaradeh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkadiy Dorenskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Arkadiy Dorenskiy struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Jakob Nazaradeh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Krasnodar FC. Gennadiy Demyanenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jakob Nazaradeh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Krasnodar FC's Roman Serdyuk was substituted for Mikhail Ignatov. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gennadiy Demyanenko to make the kick off. With a little luck, Зилант Казань's Jakob Nazaradeh got control of the ball when Roman Serdyuk tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Зилант Казань getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. In the 81st minute, Krasnodar FC's Leonid Malafeev ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jakob Nazaradeh. Jakob Nazaradeh yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Krasnodar FC's Oriche Vega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lev Pakhomov in the 87th minute of play. Jakob Nazaradeh was a little too slow when Andrey Aganin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 1-2. The Зилант Казань manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Krasnodar FC to win.
