With a little luck, Ivanovo HC's Eduard Hayaletdinov got control of the ball when Virgilio Quinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirill Kayumov in the 93rd minute of play forced WWW LENINGRAD's goalkeeper Göksel Koral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. WWW LENINGRAD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
