Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, FC Rapid Braila's Ferdinand Prelipceanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gigel Rușanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Codruț Bobocea fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciobani's protests and gave Codruț Bobocea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute Cosmin Olariu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Zăhărescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Prelipceanu in the 11th minute of play forced Ciobani's goalkeeper Gigel Rușanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ciobani getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Emilian Şumălan hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Dan Boroneanț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihăiţă Chițu during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mihăiţă Chițu kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Iacob Cănănău kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ciobani's Ernest Biriș got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Rapid Braila's Codrin Zăhărescu got control of the ball when Ernest Biriș tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Emilian Şumălan fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciobani's protests and gave Emilian Şumălan a yellow card for diving instead. Emilian Şumălan kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Gigel Rușanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Agrigoroaiei in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Francisc Agrigoroaiei made the kick off in the second half. Ferdinand Prelipceanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Gigel Rușanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Francisc Agrigoroaiei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gigel Rușanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Cosmin Olariu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Codrin Zăhărescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernest Biriș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Codrin Zăhărescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Ernest Biriș notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Rapid Braila's Codrin Zăhărescu. Codrin Zăhărescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Codrin Zăhărescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmin Olariu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Francisc Agrigoroaiei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Rușanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernest Biriș's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codrin Zăhărescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Cosmin Olariu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ciobani had won after a very even match.
