Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stelian Costa got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Emil Vâlcu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damian Isopescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Vâlcu in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Isopescu saved Soldanul CS from getting behind. Damian Isopescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dacian Hănescu in the 14th minute of play. Stelian Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soldanul CS's goalkeeper Damian Isopescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Emil Vâlcu managed to get in a good position for a shot. -THT- Blue Mountain State's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Vâlcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Isopescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the game, Iacob Grigoroiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soldanul CS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave -THT- Blue Mountain State the free kick. Emil Vâlcu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ionică Brânzeu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, one of Soldanul CS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Soldanul CS. In the 39th minute there was a penalty for -THT- Blue Mountain State. Cazimir Găvănescu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Damian Isopescu. 0-2. After having played for 42 minutes, Nicodim Lucan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soldanul CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Lucan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emil Vâlcu might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damian Isopescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emil Vâlcu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 48th minute, Emil Vâlcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half -THT- Blue Mountain State were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dacian Hănescu was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Soldanul CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Iulian to maneuver through the defense. Cazimir Găvănescu shot from long distance in the 56th minute, but Damian Isopescu was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 58 minutes into the match, Iurie Ducu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Damian Isopescu, 0-3. Emil Vâlcu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Isopescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Stelian Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Uljas Siivonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stelian Costa scored 1-3 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uljas Siivonen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 72 minutes, Dacian Hănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. -THT- Blue Mountain State's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dacian Hănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes in the game, Emil Vâlcu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Damian Isopescu having to interfere. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soldanul CS's goalkeeper Damian Isopescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emil Vâlcu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 77th playminute. Soldanul CS's Damian Isopescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Radovan in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Soldanul CS's zone, Emil Vâlcu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Isopescu came out of the goal and Emil Vâlcu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. -THT- Blue Mountain State's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
