In the 4th minute, Flavius Buzoianu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Valeriu Budianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilian Jugănaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Ducu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes, Iurie Ducu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -THT- Blue Mountain State and the Calan CS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emilian Jugănaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Ducu in the 25th minute of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Flavius Buzoianu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -THT- Blue Mountain State's Uljas Siivonen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emilian Jugănaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Vâlcu in the 27th minute. A collision led to -THT- Blue Mountain State getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alin Radovan hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Flavius Buzoianu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of -THT- Blue Mountain State's Uljas Siivonen. Uljas Siivonen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Valeriu Budianu came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Calan CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valeriu Budianu couldn't finish the play. Flavius Buzoianu struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Uljas Siivonen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calan CS. With a little luck, Calan CS's Emilian Jugănaru got control of the ball when Emil Vâlcu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavius Buzoianu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 68 played minutes Calan CS got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Bucataru. Emil Vâlcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes -THT- Blue Mountain State got a freekick which was hit by Emil Vâlcu. Calan CS's Ion Ivăncioiu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cosmin Chindriș in the 80 minute of the game. The supporters of -THT- Blue Mountain State booed when Calan CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Coşkun Cevar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilian Jugănaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alin Radovan, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 89 minutes into the match, Coşkun Cevar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uljas Siivonen. -THT- Blue Mountain State's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Coşkun Cevar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Dacian Hănescu hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Dacian Hănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. -THT- Blue Mountain State's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dacian Hănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 97 minutes of play -THT- Blue Mountain State's Iurie Ducu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Calan CS booed when -THT- Blue Mountain State was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iurie Ducu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The -THT- Blue Mountain State fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Calan CS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
