Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mihai Ioneasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Cojan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the match, Maraus's goal looked a bit too open when Petruț Bosioc came free, but Mihai Ioneasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, FC Steaua Bucuresti's Valer Andrițoiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihai Ioneasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mihai Ioneasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Cojan in the 11th minute of the match. Eric Albescu's late challenge caught a FC Steaua Bucuresti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Albescu helped the player get up and apologised. Eric Albescu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Maraus's Mihai Ioneasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valer Andrițoiu in the 13th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Basarab Tănase kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romeo Mateianu. That made the score 1-1 in the 14 minute of play. After some careless play in the Maraus defense, Valer Andrițoiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mihai Ioneasa. The Maraus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mihai Ioneasa should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Dumitru Cojan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihai Ioneasa was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 23 minutes into the game, Dumitru Cojan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Mihai Ioneasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mihai Ioneasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horea Coman went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Mihai Ioneasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Cojan in the 31st minute of play. Iulian Decuseară didn't quite understand what happened when in the 34 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Horea Şoltuz kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Mihai Ioneasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Cojan in the 38th minute of play. Mihai Ioneasa came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Steaua Bucuresti's Horea Coman. But to his dismay, Horea Coman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Mihai Ioneasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valer Andrițoiu went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dumitru Cojan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mihai Ioneasa made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Dumitru Cojan sent off a good shot on target. Mihai Ioneasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Mălăncioiu in the 59th minute of play. Mihai Ioneasa made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Dumitru Cojan sent off a good shot on target. Mihai Ioneasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gelu Ghiondea in the 65th minute. Horea Coman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Mihai Ioneasa made a huge save. Gelu Ghiondea succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-9 in the 76th playminute. Mihai Ioneasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Cojan, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Maraus's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Cojan came free, but Mihai Ioneasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Dumitru Cojan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihai Ioneasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 minutes of play Maraus's Eric Albescu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When FC Steaua Bucuresti's Dumitru Cojan in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maraus's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Maraus's Mihai Ioneasa got control of the ball when Horea Coman tried to sneak it across the goal line.
