Spectators: 6919 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dragoş Miclescu kicked off to start the match. After 7 played minutes Luptatorii got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Donici. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Apăvăloaie in the 19th minute of play forced Vajla's goalkeeper Marin Nae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Dragoş Miclescu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vajla's Marin Nae. Marin Nae was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Florin Bunoaică managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vajla's supporters rose to their feet, but Florin Bunoaică was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luca Codrea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute Dragoş Miclescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marin Nae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Petrică Buricea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Luptatorii getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Matei Tăutu hit a great ball. Petrică Buricea struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Luca Codrea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vajla. 35 minutes into the match, Vajla's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Miclescu came free, but Marin Nae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragoş Miclescu struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Marin Nae didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luptatorii. Marin Nae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Apăvăloaie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dragoş Miclescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Vajla fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Vajla's Petrică Buricea looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Gabriel Apăvăloaie came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Luptatorii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Apăvăloaie couldn't finish the play. Aurelian Piersic hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 58 minutes Vajla's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gică Mangra who took care of the corner kick. Adam Gane made a great header on Luptatorii's corner, it was just that Vajla's Marin Nae managed to reach the ball for a save. Gabriel Apăvăloaie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Nae having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Vajla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Gruescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Dragoş Miclescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 71 minutes, Dumitru Gâfu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luptatorii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dumitru Gâfu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute of the match, Dragoş Miclescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marin Nae saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luca Codrea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Buricea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luptatorii's Luca Codrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Alupoaie in the 87th minute of play. After 89 minutes, Gică Mangra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luptatorii and the Vajla players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Luptatorii! In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Vajla. Petrică Buricea stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luca Codrea. 3-1. Dragoş Miclescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marin Nae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragoş Miclescu in the 96th minute of the match. Luptatorii's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
