Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ovidiu Grozăvescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Berbestii FCM's Matei Fulga got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berbestii FCM's Mihnea Corlățean got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Sandu Rușanu made a precise shot to the right of Victor Corbeanu. Berbestii FCM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 10th minute, Matei Fulga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berbestii FCM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sever Balaci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Corlățean, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Victor Corbeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Spelbu in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute Matei Fulga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Balaci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matei Fulga took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sever Balaci. Sever Balaci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Bacainti's Ovidiu Grozăvescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Victor Corbeanu. That made the score 2-2 after 27 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidiu Grozăvescu in the 31st minute of play forced Berbestii FCM's goalkeeper Victor Corbeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Grozăvescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Corbeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Grozăvescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Horia Pintilie came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Berbestii FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horia Pintilie couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matei Fulga to strike the kick off in the second half. Matei Fulga was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Berbestii FCM's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Aron Leahu fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacainti's protests and gave Aron Leahu a yellow card for diving instead. Aron Leahu hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Berbestii FCM's Matei Fulga broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Berbestii FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Spelbu came free, but Victor Corbeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandu Rușanu kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Eliodor Atodiresei hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Bacainti's goal looked a bit too open when Matei Fulga came free, but Sever Balaci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toader Duldurescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Corbeanu having to interfere. The supporters of Bacainti booed when Berbestii FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panait Mihăescu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
