In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal's goalkeeper Sorin Sandu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute Gavril Lăceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Proca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Los Angeles Galaxy getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Sandu Maghear hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Los Angeles Galaxy defense, Gavril Lăceanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remus Proca. The Los Angeles Galaxy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remus Proca should have stopped the shot. The Los Angeles Galaxy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
