Aronesti CSM's supporters rose to their feet, but Petre Mazăre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasile Andronescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Virgil Trifu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilie Hurmuz was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Petru Hurdubețiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgil Trifu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Hurmuz having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Aronesti CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Trifu came free, but Ilie Hurmuz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match Vintilă Buhăescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vasile Andronescu skillfully saved the ball. Vintilă Buhăescu hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Petre Mazăre struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Vasile Andronescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aronesti CSM. The supporters of Campulung FC booed when Aronesti CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Drăgănoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Sandu Bădoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vasile Andronescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 45 minutes into the match, Campulung FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Bădoi came free, but Vasile Andronescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Petre Mazăre took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vasile Andronescu. Vasile Andronescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Petre Mazăre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasile Andronescu having to interfere. In the 62nd minute of the match Andrei Cîrțu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilie Hurmuz skillfully saved the ball. Sandu Bădoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vasile Andronescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Mazăre, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Petre Mazăre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vasile Andronescu was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 72nd minute Sandu Bădoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasile Andronescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Bădoi in the 81st minute of play forced Campulung FC's goalkeeper Vasile Andronescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aronesti CSM's Sandu Bădoi got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Campulung FC's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Mazăre came free, but Vasile Andronescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Manole Condrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Campulung FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Răzvan Codrea hit a great ball. 95 minutes in the game, Sandu Bădoi dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aronesti CSM had won after a very even match.
