Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Petre Crișan took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of FC RESITA booed when Steaua Libera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorel Văduva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dan Bota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Văduvescu in the 4th minute of the match. Dan Bota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Dejeu in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute Alex Dejeu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Bota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Bota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Dejeu went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bogdan Stănculescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Rebengiuc in the 18th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Lucian Todericiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match, Petre Crișan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bogdan Stănculescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Petter Boden kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Mircea Ulici scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bogdan Stănculescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Steaua Libera's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Dejeu came free, but Dan Bota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Bota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Boden in the 31st minute of the match. FC RESITA's Dacian Văduvescu got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dinu Oros charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinu Oros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 41 minutes in the game, Petre Crișan dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. FC RESITA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Petre Crișan scored to the left of an out of position Bogdan Stănculescu, making the score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dacian Văduvescu was the one to do the kick off. Bogdan Stănculescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezar Rebengiuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 played minutes Steaua Libera got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Gliga. FC RESITA's Dacian Văduvescu got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Steaua Libera's Edgar Schiau got a free kick in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Oros in the 69th minute of play forced FC RESITA's goalkeeper Bogdan Stănculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Nistor Ursu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Bota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petre Crișan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, FC RESITA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Bojonca to maneuver through the defense. Bogdan Stănculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Zub, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Emilian Mihoc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bogdan Stănculescu. FC RESITA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilian Mihoc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Alex Dejeu took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Dan Bota to make any attempt to save it. Bogdan Stănculescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Oros in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Dinu Oros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Stănculescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
