Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nae Tomoiu started the match with the kick off. When PHOENIX BUCURESTI's Nae Tomoiu in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Serpesti's goalie prevented a goal. Robert Duca kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Lucrețiu Ştercă came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Serpesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucrețiu Ştercă couldn't finish the play. Lucrețiu Ştercă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nae Tomoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Codrin Drăgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Duca during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Serpesti getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Robert Duca hit a great ball. When Nae Tomoiu came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the PHOENIX BUCURESTI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nae Tomoiu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Serpesti getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Șerban Magherescu hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Nae Tomoiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Codrin Drăgan was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Nae Dragu's late challenge caught a PHOENIX BUCURESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nae Dragu helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Serpesti got a freekick which was hit by Nae Dragu. Lucrețiu Ştercă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Cândrea having to interfere. Codrin Drăgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nae Tomoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Codrin Drăgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Tomoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Nae Tomoiu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Serpesti's Codrin Drăgan. Codrin Drăgan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Codrin Drăgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nae Tomoiu in the 37th minute of play. If Nae Tomoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, PHOENIX BUCURESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Apostolescu to maneuver through the defense. Codrin Drăgan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nae Tomoiu's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Costică Ţugui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHOENIX BUCURESTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costică Ţugui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucrețiu Ştercă to strike the kick off in the second half. Robert Apostolescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eric Surugiu fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PHOENIX BUCURESTI's protests and gave Eric Surugiu a yellow card for diving instead. Eric Surugiu kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Nae Tomoiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Codrin Drăgan having to make a save. Codrin Drăgan was a little too slow when Nae Tomoiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-3. Nae Tomoiu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Codrin Drăgan came out and tried to block the shot, but Nae Tomoiu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nae Tomoiu got free with Codrin Drăgan in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Nae Tomoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. PHOENIX BUCURESTI's supporters rose to their feet, but Nae Tomoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codrin Drăgan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute, PHOENIX BUCURESTI's Nae Tomoiu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 84th minute Nae Tomoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Drăgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PHOENIX BUCURESTI's Nae Tomoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petre Arbore kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The Serpesti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PHOENIX BUCURESTI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
