Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lucrețiu Ştercă took the kick off in the first half of the match. Codrin Drăgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Vulpescu in the 2nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Serpesti's zone, Radu Vulpescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Codrin Drăgan came out of the goal and Radu Vulpescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the game, Șerban Magherescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serpesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bazias the free kick. A collision led to Serpesti getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Șerban Magherescu hit a great ball. Maxim Mărăcuță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinu Mantoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Codrin Drăgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bazias booed when Serpesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Șerban Magherescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codrin Drăgan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinu Mantoiu's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. A collision led to Serpesti getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Mihai Caloian hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Dinu Mantoiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Codrin Drăgan was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Lucrețiu Ştercă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serpesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucrețiu Ştercă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Jivulescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lucrețiu Ştercă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Jivulescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nae Dragu in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute, Serpesti's Robert Duca seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Robert Duca the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Serpesti protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Robert Duca had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Serpesti fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! The audience was convinced that Dinu Mantoiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Codrin Drăgan was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 37th match minute, Serpesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Caloian to maneuver through the defense. In the 38thth minute of the game Dinu Mantoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Serpesti's Codrin Drăgan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Codrin Drăgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Ciociu in the 44th minute of play. Lucrețiu Ştercă's late challenge caught a Bazias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucrețiu Ştercă helped the player get up and apologised. Lucrețiu Ştercă kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Dinu Mantoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Drăgan having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinu Mantoiu was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bazias's zone, Lucrețiu Ştercă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Jivulescu came out of the goal and Lucrețiu Ştercă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Codrin Drăgan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. A collision led to Serpesti getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Marian Maiorescu hit a great ball. Codrin Drăgan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Maxim Mărăcuță. In the 65th minute, Lucrețiu Ştercă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinu Mantoiu struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Codrin Drăgan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bazias. Sergiu Mihuleac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Drăgan having to interfere. Sandu Ciociu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Codrin Drăgan came out and tried to block the shot, but Sandu Ciociu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 75th minute. Serpesti's Codrin Drăgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Mihuleac in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinu Mantoiu in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Codrin Drăgan saved Serpesti from getting behind. Mihai Caloian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 played minutes Bazias got a freekick which was hit by Sandu Ciociu. Sergiu Mihuleac's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Codrin Drăgan firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 97th minute Dinu Mantoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codrin Drăgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Bazias could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Serpesti throughout the match.
