Dolea AS's Cristi Manu got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Aurel Pietreanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alin Melentie. Dolea AS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aurel Pietreanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cezar Uzuneanu during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dolea AS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scorbura FC the free kick. Alin Melentie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Brezeanu in the 37th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurel Pietreanu made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Sandu Piţurcă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dolea AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Piţurcă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
