Valeriu Gherghe's late challenge caught a FC Berbesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valeriu Gherghe helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ciovei CSM's Valeriu Gherghe got a free kick in the 44th minute. Mircea Angheluță kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cornel Alexa made a kick off. Radu Dragoș lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Ciovei CSM:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Berbesti:s goal. In the 64th match minute, FC Berbesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manole Varga to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes Ciovei CSM got a freekick which was hit by Cornel Alexa. After a rather tough play, FC Berbesti's Albert Ghițulescu got a free kick in the 70th minute. A collision led to FC Berbesti getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Nae Fințescu hit a great ball. In the 77th match minute, Ciovei CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Gherghe to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Berbesti fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ciovei CSM had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
