Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sergiu Aldulescu made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the match, Fierii's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Hreapcă came free, but Panait Buzatu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, one of Fierii:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Gropile CSM. Narcis Tâbârnă stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Panait Buzatu. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Hreapcă in the 8th minute of play forced Fierii's goalkeeper Panait Buzatu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Codruț Feroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Buzatu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugurel Duldurescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sorin Cârlan went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When Ferdinand Cociubei fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fierii's protests and gave Ferdinand Cociubei a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gropile CSM booed when Fierii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Cociubei didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Sergiu Aldulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panait Buzatu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Cristoiu in the 28th minute of the match. Fierii's Panait Buzatu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Cristoiu in the 30th minute of play. Sorin Cârlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mugurel Duldurescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Sorin Cârlan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Mugurel Duldurescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Aldulescu in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gropile CSM's Petre Hreapcă got a free kick in the 35th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alin Cristoiu to make the kick off. With a little luck, Fierii's Panait Buzatu got control of the ball when Codruț Feroiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mugurel Duldurescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sorin Cârlan went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Fierii's Sorin Cârlan got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute Sorin Cârlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Duldurescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Feraru in the 61st minute of play forced Fierii's goalkeeper Panait Buzatu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Petre Hreapcă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gropile CSM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 68 minutes into the match, Fierii's goalkeeper Panait Buzatu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codruț Feroiu. With a little luck, Fierii's Panait Buzatu got control of the ball when Codruț Feroiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Panait Buzatu managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Gropile CSM's Codruț Feroiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Panait Buzatu made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Codruț Feroiu sent off a good shot on target. Panait Buzatu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Feraru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mugurel Duldurescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Aldulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute of the match, Codruț Feroiu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Panait Buzatu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Codruț Feroiu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Panait Buzatu firmly grabbed it by the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gropile CSM walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
