The Calugareasca CSS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 15th minute, Eduard Alexa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Klint was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Aron Huțupan charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aron Huțupan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Vârful Moldoveanu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Huțupan to maneuver through the defense. Vârful Moldoveanu's Aron Huțupan got his second yellow card of the match in the 22nd minute. The referee ordered Aron Huțupan off the ground. Tudor Pupăzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Simon Klint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Teodoroiu in the 26th minute of play forced Calugareasca CSS's goalkeeper Cosmin Fetea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Vârful Moldoveanu's Silviu Teodoroiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cosmin Fetea. That made the score 1-2 after 28 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vârful Moldoveanu's zone, Eduard Alexa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Klint came out of the goal and Eduard Alexa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosmin Fetea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doru Alucai, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Vârful Moldoveanu's Silviu Teodoroiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cosmin Fetea. That made the score 2-2 after 38 minutes of play. Silviu Teodoroiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosmin Fetea having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Alin Iriza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosmin Fetea was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Emilian Purcărete hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silviu Teodoroiu to strike the kick off in the second half. Tudor Pupăzan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Calugareasca CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Teodoroiu came free, but Cosmin Fetea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calugareasca CSS's Cosmin Fetea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Iriza in the 58th minute of play. Eduard Alexa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Simon Klint skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eduard Alexa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th match minute, Vârful Moldoveanu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Alucai to maneuver through the defense. Silviu Teodoroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Fetea having to interfere. Emilian Purcărete kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Silviu Teodoroiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vârful Moldoveanu's supporters rose to their feet, but Silviu Teodoroiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosmin Fetea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silviu Teodoroiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosmin Fetea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silviu Teodoroiu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th match minute, Calugareasca CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Purcărete to maneuver through the defense. After 79 played minutes Vârful Moldoveanu got a freekick which was hit by Doru Alucai. Tudor Pupăzan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aron Ionaș hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Silviu Teodoroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aron Ionaș struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Cosmin Fetea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vârful Moldoveanu. When Silviu Teodoroiu came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Vârful Moldoveanu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silviu Teodoroiu couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Vârful Moldoveanu players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
