Matasoaia AS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Segura got free with Iurie Stere in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Galatasaray's Tobias Bengtsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iurie Stere. That made the score 0-4 after 60 minutes of play. Teddy Loisy charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teddy Loisy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Teddy Loisy. In the 69th minute Teddy Loisy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Stere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Galatasaray:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Matasoaia AS:s goal. When Liviu Paveliuc fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matasoaia AS's protests and gave Liviu Paveliuc a yellow card for diving instead. Iurie Stere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Segura, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Eugenio Segura dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iurie Stere, 1-5. The Matasoaia AS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Galatasaray were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
