In the 11thth minute of the game Marcu Dorlea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but -BZF- Borussia Buzau's Robinson Zapata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcu Dorlea in the 12th minute of play forced -BZF- Borussia Buzau's goalkeeper Robinson Zapata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Vintilă Sticlaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. -BZF- Borussia Buzau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vintilă Sticlaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcu Dorlea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Robinson Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Mugur Pășcuțoiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Robinson Zapata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Damian Iureș put in a rough tackle. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Borussia Buzau's zone, Mugur Pășcuțoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinson Zapata came out of the goal and Mugur Pășcuțoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisc Mantu was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Ogășanu got free with Robinson Zapata in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Corneliu Spiridon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dragoş Pascariu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Răzvan Zubaşcu having to interfere. Francisc Mantu might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Răzvan Zubaşcu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisc Mantu ran back to his position shaking his head. If Vintilă Sticlaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Francisc Mantu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Răzvan Zubaşcu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
