Spectators: 6708 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1708, VIP seats: 0) Hector Goiz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. PETROLUL's Hector Goiz got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Hector Goiz made a precise shot to the right of Petre Tilincă. Unirea AS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 10th minute Manole Neagoe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Busuioceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hector Goiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petre Tilincă was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the match, Unirea AS's goal looked a bit too open when C.J. El Abidine Ben Ali came free, but Petre Tilincă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When PETROLUL's Hector Goiz in 16 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Petre Tilincă guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Petre Tilincă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from C.J. El Abidine Ben Ali in the 17th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Hector Goiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Petre Tilincă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hector Goiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 minutes Unirea AS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dragoş Lovinescu who took care of the corner kick. PETROLUL's Dragoş Lovinescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Petre Tilincă in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Manole Neagoe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dinu Busuioceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute, PETROLUL's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sergiu Gane fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 45th minute of the match Gelu Roşoga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petre Tilincă skillfully saved the ball. Hector Goiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Tilincă having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

C.J. El Abidine Ben Ali could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Petre Tilincă made a huge save. Nichifor Morar came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Petre Tilincă could save by the left post. Gelu Roşoga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Petre Tilincă. Unirea AS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Goiz in the 63rd minute of play forced Unirea AS's goalkeeper Petre Tilincă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinu Busuioceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Gane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.J. El Abidine Ben Ali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Petre Tilincă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Gane in the 75th minute of play forced PETROLUL's goalkeeper Dinu Busuioceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinu Busuioceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Neagoe in the 80th minute of the match. Horaţiu Oncescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Petre Tilincă made a huge save. Petre Tilincă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Goiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Petre Tilincă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Goiz in the 89th minute of the match. If Horaţiu Oncescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petre Tilincă was a little too slow when Horaţiu Oncescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-5.
