The audience thought a goal was coming when Cezar Encuțescu got free with Ferdinand Schiau in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Valeriu Aluncai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. STEAUA BUCURESTI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teodor Turceanu in the 17th minute. STEAUA BUCURESTI's Valeriu Aluncai suffered a sore thigh after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Constantin Ionașcu charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantin Ionașcu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. STEAUA BUCURESTI made a substitution. Marcu Mușat replaced Valeriu Aluncai. After 20 played minutes MONDO BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Ionașcu. After having played for 21 minutes, Teodor Turceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STEAUA BUCURESTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodor Turceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cezar Encuțescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ferdinand Schiau could save by the left post. Cezar Encuțescu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ferdinand Schiau firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cezar Encuțescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Schiau made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, MONDO BUCURESTI's Doru Sterescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Doru Sterescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ferdinand Schiau. That made the score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. After 38 played minutes STEAUA BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Vasilache. Ferdinand Schiau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doru Sterescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doru Sterescu to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, MONDO BUCURESTI's Constantin Ionașcu got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Marcu Mușat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Schiau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Vornicu in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to MONDO BUCURESTI getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Fabian Joanță hit a great ball. Sebastian Coroian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Turceanu in the 64th minute of play. Ferdinand Schiau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Encuțescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Marcu Mușat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sebastian Coroian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Diaconescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sebastian Coroian could save by the left post. Virgil Vasilache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. STEAUA BUCURESTI's Ferdinand Schiau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doru Sterescu in the 74th minute of play. Nicodim Miroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Coroian having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Nicodim Miroiu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Lucrețiu Vornicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Diaconescu took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Coroian. Sebastian Coroian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Virgil Vasilache scored 2-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Coroian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
