Fabian Barbosu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Alupoaie in the 17th minute of the match. Fabian Barbosu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nechifor Lovinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Viorel Alupoaie came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Butuluca AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viorel Alupoaie couldn't finish the play. After having played for 28 minutes, Nechifor Lovinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Butuluca AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nechifor Lovinescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd minute, George Vintilă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Fabian Barbosu managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Butuluca AS's Viorel Alupoaie fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Viorel Alupoaie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fabian Barbosu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Călin Tăzlăuanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
