The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nichifor Grigorie charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dorin Grădinaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Constantin Ciupe made a huge save. Ernest Macaneață fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Mihai having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caldarusanca! The referee gave Rucar a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gabriel Aplugăriței, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Caldarusanca's Sabin Mihai. 4-1. After 102 played minutes, Rucar's Gabriel Aplugăriței shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sabin Mihai came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rucar reached it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rucar fully deserved thier win.
