Spectators: 6860 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tiberiu Hoduț started the match with the kick off. FC.Dierna's Ovidiu Rădescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Hoduț in the 7th minute of play. Åke Sjögren's late challenge caught a FC PODU TURCULUI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Åke Sjögren helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes FC.Dierna got a freekick which was hit by Åke Sjögren. FC PODU TURCULUI's Tiberiu Moldoveanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save FC PODU TURCULUI from getting a goal against them. Tiberiu Moldoveanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Cotoi in the 16th minute. FC PODU TURCULUI's Tiberiu Moldoveanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Vlaicu in the 21st minute of play. Teodor Vlaicu didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 21st minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Teodor Vlaicu ran dejectedly back to his position. Ovidiu Rădescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Bălcescu in the 24th minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Edgar Bălcescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC.Dierna's Ovidiu Rădescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the match, FC PODU TURCULUI's Tiberiu Hoduț sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidiu Rădescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 29 played minutes FC PODU TURCULUI got a freekick which was hit by Mircea Elefterescu. Tiberiu Moldoveanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Vlaicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiberiu Moldoveanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Bocșan in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, FC PODU TURCULUI's Tiberiu Moldoveanu got control of the ball when Octav Bocșan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgar Bălcescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ovidiu Rădescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidiu Rădescu came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC PODU TURCULUI's Narcis Chifan. But to his dismay, Narcis Chifan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 47th minute, FC.Dierna's Åke Sjögren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alin Smarandache made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC PODU TURCULUI's zone, Alin Smarandache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Moldoveanu came out of the goal and Alin Smarandache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Edgar Bălcescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC PODU TURCULUI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Bălcescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiberiu Hoduț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Rădescu having to interfere. Ovidiu Rădescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Bălcescu in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute Åke Sjögren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Moldoveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Edgar Bălcescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC PODU TURCULUI's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Bălcescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Rădescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgar Bălcescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Rădescu having to interfere. Ovidiu Rădescu made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Edgar Bălcescu sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of FC PODU TURCULUI booed when FC.Dierna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Bocșan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Teodor Vlaicu came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the FC.Dierna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodor Vlaicu couldn't finish the play. Tiberiu Moldoveanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Bocșan in the 92nd minute of play.
