Spectators: 7409 (Terracing: 5557, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 148) Emanuel Pociu made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nistor Mândrilă got free with Octavian Gâțea in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emanuel Pociu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Paul Buhuș left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ghertenis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 21st minute Emanuel Pociu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandu Boșneag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ghertenis booed when Juventus Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Strugure didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornel Hurmuzache struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Sandu Boșneag didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ghertenis. Mugur Achifoaiei kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Sandu Boșneag made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Pânzariu in the 33rd minute of play. Iacob Pânzariu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Paul Buhuș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42ndth minute of the game Emanuel Pociu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventus Cluj-Napoca's Sandu Boșneag was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcel Baniciu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Cornel Hurmuzache got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Emanuel Pociu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Juventus Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Hurmuzache came free, but Sandu Boșneag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Buhuș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juventus Cluj-Napoca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Emanuel Pociu scored to the left of an out of position Sandu Boșneag, making the score, 2-2. 89 minutes into the match, Ghertenis's Emanuel Pociu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sandu Boșneag narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Ghertenis getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Augustin Zamfirescu hit a great ball. Ghertenis were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
