Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 0) Costel Ciorănescu made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cacarezeni's goalkeeper Valer Turbatu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Riciu's Costel Ciorănescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valer Turbatu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Marius Oneț managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacarezeni's supporters rose to their feet, but Marius Oneț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iustinian Urdăreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Riciu's Iustinian Urdăreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Riciu from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Cacarezeni booed when Riciu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihai Arseanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Riciu's Cornel Leluțiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valer Turbatu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cornel Leluțiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Turbatu having to interfere. Valer Turbatu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Ciorănescu in the 28th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Cacarezeni got a freekick which was hit by Marius Oneț. Costel Ciorănescu's late challenge caught a Cacarezeni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costel Ciorănescu helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Riciu got a freekick which was hit by Costel Ciorănescu. Cornel Leluțiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costel Ciorănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Valer Turbatu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Cacarezeni's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Leluțiu came free, but Valer Turbatu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costel Ciorănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Turbatu having to interfere. Valer Turbatu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornel Leluțiu's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcel Buhăescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cornel Leluțiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valer Turbatu having to make a save. Octav Dabija charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octav Dabija the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valer Turbatu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Valer Turbatu made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Cornel Leluțiu sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute, Cornel Leluțiu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Valer Turbatu, passed just outside the right post. Ernest Mirea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iustinian Urdăreanu. Riciu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 72 minutes of play, Cacarezeni's Ionică Crețu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iustinian Urdăreanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 76 minutes, Daniel Jumancă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Riciu and the Cacarezeni players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cornel Leluțiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Valer Turbatu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionică Crețu in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iustinian Urdăreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcel Buhăescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Iustinian Urdăreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Riciu's goalkeeper Iustinian Urdăreanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Cacarezeni supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Riciu's performance. The match ended with a win for Riciu.
