Spectators: 7408 (Terracing: 5556, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 148) FC KGT's Tudor Rioşanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Odobesti FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Tudor Rioşanu came free, but Dinu Chițu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinu Chițu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Boldișor in the 6th minute. Tudor Rioşanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dinu Chițu having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in FC KGT's zone, Flavius Encescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florin Vâtcă came out of the goal and Flavius Encescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petre Potoroacă in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florin Vâtcă saved FC KGT from getting behind. A collision led to Odobesti FCM getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Flavius Encescu hit a great ball. Dan Boldișor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petre Potoroacă scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florin Vâtcă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dinu Chițu made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Dan Boldișor sent off a good shot on target. After 28 played minutes FC KGT got a freekick which was hit by Dan Boldișor. 29 minutes into the match, FC KGT's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Potoroacă came free, but Florin Vâtcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Potoroacă in the 32nd minute of play forced FC KGT's goalkeeper Florin Vâtcă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, FC KGT's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Potoroacă came free, but Florin Vâtcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Flavius Encescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 minutes, Nechifor Vaştag mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC KGT and the Odobesti FCM players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Petre Potoroacă sped through FC KGT's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Florin Vâtcă. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petre Potoroacă was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Odobesti FCM's Flavius Encescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florin Vâtcă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Calistrat Sucigan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Calistrat Sucigan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Florin Vâtcă. The goal made the score 0-3. 64 minutes into the game, Dan Boldișor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Dinu Chițu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st minute, Odobesti FCM's Petre Potoroacă dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Flavius Encescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florin Vâtcă having to make a save. Petre Potoroacă struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Florin Vâtcă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Odobesti FCM. Petru Răchiteanu's late challenge caught a FC KGT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petru Răchiteanu helped the player get up and apologised. Calistrat Sucigan charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calistrat Sucigan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd match minute, Odobesti FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calistrat Sucigan to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 87 minutes, Petre Potoroacă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Odobesti FCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petre Potoroacă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Alin Ivăncioiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC KGT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Odobesti FCM the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Alin Ivăncioiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Odobesti FCM's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
