Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 0) Ogretinu's Narcis Mitică started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes F.C. ARGES got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Curtean. Narcis Mitică struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Remus Geolgău didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ogretinu. Constantin Udrescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Pavalescu having to interfere. Remus Geolgău was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Moise Apetroaiei capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Moise Apetroaiei really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Costică Predoiu fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ogretinu's protests and gave Costică Predoiu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Costică Predoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, Constantin Udrescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. George Pavalescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 25 minutes, Narcis Mitică managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ogretinu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Mitică was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aron Gherasim kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, F.C. ARGES 's Moise Teodoreanu got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. ARGES 's zone, Narcis Mitică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remus Geolgău came out of the goal and Narcis Mitică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remus Geolgău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Bunescu in the 36th minute of play. Ogretinu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Costică Predoiu in the 38th minute. Silviu Novac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Pavalescu having to interfere. 49 minutes into the match, F.C. ARGES 's goal looked a bit too open when Narcis Mitică came free, but Remus Geolgău reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constantin Udrescu to strike the kick off in the second half. George Pavalescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Udrescu in the 54th minute of the match. If Constantin Udrescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remus Geolgău didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moise Apetroaiei went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Moise Apetroaiei might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remus Geolgău. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moise Apetroaiei ran back to his position shaking his head. When Narcis Mitică came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ogretinu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narcis Mitică couldn't finish the play. Silviu Novac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. George Pavalescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of F.C. ARGES booed when Ogretinu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Banu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Constantin Udrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Pavalescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remus Geolgău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Mitică in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, F.C. ARGES 's Moise Teodoreanu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ogretinu fans cheered their team off the field, for while F.C. ARGES had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
