The audience was convinced that Eric Jerca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wojciech Kicia was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Vasile Olăroiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Ciuvică in the 10th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidiu Chioreanu during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Ovidiu Chioreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eric Jerca received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ovidiu Chioreanu scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vasile Olăroiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 1-2 became the score in the 22nd minute when Martin Caramitru elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 26th match minute, Turbofin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Cucerdean to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Turbofin's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Caramitru came free, but Vasile Olăroiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Turbofin's Eric Jerca got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After 34 played minutes, Horga's Wlodzimierz Radziszewski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vasile Olăroiu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Horga reached it. After having played for 36 minutes, Ovidiu Chioreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidiu Chioreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horga's Ovidiu Chioreanu got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Ovidiu Chioreanu off the ground. After 42 played minutes Horga got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Chioreanu. The Turbofin players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Horga were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Martin Caramitru made the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Vasile Olăroiu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vasile Olăroiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Caramitru's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Sandu Ciuvică had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vasile Olăroiu. Turbofin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandu Ciuvică was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Vali Gârniceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Wojciech Kicia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horga were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Turbofin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wlodzimierz Radziszewski took the corner. Wlodzimierz Radziszewski made a great header on Horga's corner, it was just that Turbofin's Vasile Olăroiu managed to reach the ball for a save. Gigi Iuga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vasile Olăroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Caramitru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes in the game, Martin Caramitru fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vasile Olăroiu having to interfere. The Turbofin fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Horga were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
