Spectators: 7431 (Terracing: 5574, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 148) FC Steaua Lehliu's Șerban Tărău started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Filip Ecobescu was a little too slow when Codruț Torouţ got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Pirscovelu CSM's goalkeeper Filip Ecobescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alketas Stroggilos. Filip Ecobescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Șerban Tărău in the 10th minute. When Leonard Novac came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Pirscovelu CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Novac couldn't finish the play. In the 15th match minute, FC Steaua Lehliu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Bojincă to maneuver through the defense. FC Steaua Lehliu's Abdulkerim Başarman got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Pirscovelu CSM got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Zubaşcu. Filip Ecobescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Șerban Tărău showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Leonard Novac put in a rough tackle. In the 23rd minute, one of Pirscovelu CSM:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pirscovelu CSM. In the 26th match minute, FC Steaua Lehliu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Bojincă to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Pirscovelu CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Șerban Tărău came free, but Filip Ecobescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, FC Steaua Lehliu's Codruț Torouţ nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filip Ecobescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 45th minute, Codruț Torouţ reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Filip Ecobescu. The goal made the score 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisc Iovulescu to make the kick off. Filip Ecobescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Torouţ, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alketas Stroggilos in the 54th minute of play forced Pirscovelu CSM's goalkeeper Filip Ecobescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Ecobescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Torouţ in the 55th minute of the match. Francisc Iovulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Eugen Miclauș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Tărău in the 73rd minute of play forced Pirscovelu CSM's goalkeeper Filip Ecobescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Șerban Tărău managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Steaua Lehliu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Șerban Tărău was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niculae Bojincă got a throw-in 77 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Abdulkerim Başarman. In the 79th minute Codruț Torouţ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Ecobescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pirscovelu CSM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filip Ecobescu should have stopped the shot. But to his dismay, Șerban Tărău quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. FC Steaua Lehliu were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pirscovelu CSM for a fine match.
