In the 15th minute of the match, Iurie Tripon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mücahit Özbey saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mücahit Özbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iurie Tripon in the 23rd minute of the match. Dragoş Siteavu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bousori's Cristian Carabulea got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Republica Ploiesti getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Denis Ciocâltea hit a great ball. József Kőváry took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dragoş Siteavu. Republica Ploiesti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37th match minute, Republica Ploiesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustinian Vuşcan to maneuver through the defense. Mücahit Özbey was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mihnea Mârza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. Dragoş Siteavu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristinel Arseanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian Carabulea to strike the kick off in the second half.
