F.c.Maramures Universitar's Daniel Ionescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save F.c.Maramures Universitar from getting a goal against them. Grigore Giuverdea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Dobre in the 9th minute of the match. Petru Uzuneanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Grigore Giuverdea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vieru UFC defense, Filip Dobre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grigore Giuverdea. The Vieru UFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grigore Giuverdea should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the game, F.c.Maramures Universitar's Laureano Dorio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Grigore Giuverdea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Manole Crivoi kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 于迅夕 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grigore Giuverdea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Dorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, Vieru UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisc Coșmeanu to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

56 minutes into the match, Vieru UFC's goal looked a bit too open when 于迅夕 came free, but Grigore Giuverdea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Filip Dobre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigore Giuverdea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Laureano Dorio came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the F.c.Maramures Universitar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laureano Dorio couldn't finish the play. If Petru Uzuneanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Dorio got in the 74th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Grigore Giuverdea handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Laureano Dorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigore Giuverdea having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vieru UFC's zone, Filip Dobre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grigore Giuverdea came out of the goal and Filip Dobre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. F.c.Maramures Universitar's Laureano Dorio got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 92 minutes, Laureano Dorio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.c.Maramures Universitar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laureano Dorio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Vieru UFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F.c.Maramures Universitar were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
