The crowd rose to their feet as F.c.Maramures Universitar's Luca Nițulescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vasile Stanomir. That made the score 2-1 after 25 minutes of play. Daniel Ionescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Ştiopul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Ionescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Mincu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Ştiopul to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Butuluc's Emanuel Ştiopul slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniel Ionescu. That made the score 2-3 after 52 minutes of play. Emanuel Ştiopul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, F.c.Maramures Universitar's Fryderyk Kolano got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Emanuel Ştiopul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Dorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mihail Timaru hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Dacian Mendrea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Butuluc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dacian Mendrea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 79 played minutes Butuluc got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Bădiliță. Emanuel Ştiopul hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Teodor Minulescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Daniel Ionescu made a huge save. In the 97th minute, Vasile Hizo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see F.c.Maramures Universitar lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
