Virgil Vulcănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Codruț Brăescu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Filip Bălcescu got his second yellow card in the match during the 14th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 15th match minute, Treaptu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Bălcescu to maneuver through the defense. Virgil Vulcănescu struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Victor Ţiţeica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dumuslaul. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Vătăşel got free with Gabriel Ghișerel in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Ghișerel made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Manuel Chiose sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luca Leu in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Ţiţeica prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute of the match Iulian Praporgescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victor Ţiţeica showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Victor Ţiţeica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Leu in the 46th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luca Leu in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Ţiţeica saved Treaptu from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Luca Leu made the kick off in the second half. If Luca Leu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The referee ignored Treaptu's protests and gave Ionel Popoiu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Dumuslaul booed when Treaptu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionel Popoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dumuslaul's Iulian Praporgescu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Treaptu. In the 84th minute, Luca Leu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Victor Ţiţeica. The goal made the score 0-1. Luca Leu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Ţiţeica read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Virgil Vulcănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Ţiţeica having to interfere. Luca Leu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Victor Ţiţeica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
