Spectators: 6823 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stelian Daimacă got the match started through his kick off. Ivan Short charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Short the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd match minute, U1948 Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Short to maneuver through the defense. After 6 played minutes U1948 Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Cismaș. 9 minutes into the match, U1948 Craiova's goalkeeper Cristi Amitroaiei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Chirculescu. AF Targoviste's Constantin Dumitrana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Mironescu in the 10th minute of play. Constantin Dumitrana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Daimacă in the 12th minute of the match. Eric Chirculescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristi Amitroaiei came out and tried to block the shot, but Eric Chirculescu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Chirculescu got free with Cristi Amitroaiei in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Constantin Dumitrana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Daimacă in the 35th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Stelian Daimacă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantin Dumitrana. AF Targoviste's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stelian Daimacă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to AF Targoviste getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. David Zberea hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in AF Targoviste's zone, Stelian Daimacă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantin Dumitrana came out of the goal and Stelian Daimacă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, U1948 Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Chirculescu came free, but Cristi Amitroaiei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stelian Daimacă during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Viorel Gârdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Daniel Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Dumitrana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristi Amitroaiei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Gârdan in the 61st minute of play. Cristi Amitroaiei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eric Chirculescu went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Constantin Dumitrana came out of the goal and Stelian Daimacă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Șerban Gheorghe lost his temper 86 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in U1948 Craiova fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! Daniel Melo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Constantin Dumitrana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U1948 Craiova. Eugeniusz Filipowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristi Amitroaiei having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Eric Chirculescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AF Targoviste fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. AF Targoviste's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
