Flavius Birișu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Frumuzache having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Flavius Birișu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dumitru Frumuzache was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 43 minutes, Narcis Feraru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petrici FCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Feraru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dragoş Panaitescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Cheveres AFC's Dumitru Frumuzache got control of the ball when Narcis Feraru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dragoş Panaitescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dinu Petru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cheveres AFC's Dumitru Frumuzache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavius Birișu in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Petrici FCM booed when Cheveres AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Voinescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Flavius Birișu came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Petrici FCM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavius Birișu couldn't finish the play. When Andrei Molodețiu fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cheveres AFC's protests and gave Andrei Molodețiu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cheveres AFC's Andrei Molodețiu got a free kick in the 70th minute. Petrici FCM's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
