Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Romeo Gârleanu kicked off to start the match. Romeo Gârleanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marius Brânzaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ştefan Sticlaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Gârleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Marius Brânzaru made a precise shot to the right of Ştefan Sticlaru. F.C. Obîrșeni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With his leg Ştefan Sticlaru managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Remus CSS's Marius Brânzaru fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dumitru Encea's late challenge caught a Remus CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dumitru Encea helped the player get up and apologised. Dumitru Encea hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Marius Brânzaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Răzvan Olariu charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Răzvan Olariu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, F.C. Obîrșeni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Răzvan Olariu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 37 minutes, Dan Niculiță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Obîrșeni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Niculiță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Remus CSS's goalkeeper Albert Boteanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Dan Niculiță managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Obîrșeni's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Niculiță was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Boteanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dumitru Encea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Boteanu having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dumitru Encea to make the kick off. Remus CSS's Albert Boteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Encea in the 53rd minute of play. Dan Niculiță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Albert Boteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Dumitru Encea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Obîrșeni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dumitru Encea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute Marius Brânzaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ştefan Sticlaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dumitru Encea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Obîrșeni's goalkeeper Ştefan Sticlaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Remus CSS! Dan Niculiță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Boteanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Albert Boteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Encea in the 85th minute of play. F.C. Obîrșeni's Dan Niculiță got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Remus CSS's zone, Dumitru Encea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Boteanu came out of the goal and Dumitru Encea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. F.C. Obîrșeni's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
